You can use Mitel Connect to forward your extension to your cell phone (or anyone's phone for that matter - but don't do that!).

Mitel Connect is the helper application in which you can lookup phone numbers and also shows your voicemails.

If you need to get Connect running, see this note: How To Configure Connect Note.

If your extension is part of Workgroup, this method will not work. Instead, use Change My Extension's Primary Asssignment.

To Forward Your Extension:

  1. In the header to Connect, click the down arrow:
  2. Click the menu item called Settings
  3. In the left menu column, click Call Routing.

  4. At the top, find the drop down box that is set to Available. Click this and change it to Custom.

  5. A list of options will load in the middle. To the right of this option, click the green box labeled Change:

  6. Click the Radio Button that is followed by the label: Always forward my calls to.
Then click the drop down arrow to the far right. In the empty blank that shows up below my voicemail type in your cell phone number.

Then - and this is absolutely crucial - press the Enter key on your keyboard. Do not click Next with the mouse until you first press Enter. Otherwise, your cell phone number will not get selected.
  7. Click the green Save button.
  8. When you need calls to forward to your Cell Phone, set your extension Mode to Custom

  9. First click on the word Available right below your Name.

A list will drop down. Click on Custom at the bottom.

Finally, click Done. This puts your extension into Custom mode, which forward calls to your cell phone immediately.

At the end of the day you can click this list again and put your phone into Out of Office. Then any phone calls will go right to your Office Voicemail.
